Vidrala Invests 10 Million Euros in Warehouse in Marinha Grande

The Vidrala Group announced that it would build a new warehouse annexed to its Santos Barosa plant.

According to Notícias de Leiria, the glass packaging producer, Vidrala, announced Tuesday the construction of the new warehouse attached to its Santos Barosa factory in Marinha Grande, the largest logistics investment in its history.

Vidrala Group acquired Santos Barosa in 2017 and subsequently invested around 10 million euros in the 30,000-m2 warehouse.

At the Santos Barosa plant facilities, a large internal space was also provided for trucks to avoid waiting times outside.

Vidrala also intends to invest in a second phase to expand the yards in a digitalisation plan that will allow the delivery of documentation from the vehicles’ driving positions.

The Santos Barosa factory, which employs 506 people, produces around 90% of its production for export.
