BESIX RED is co-developing DUUO with Compagnie Du Bois Sauvage, in a total estimated investment of 110 million euros. Castelhana and Infante & Riu were chosen to assist in marketing the development.
DUUO, designed by Portugal’s Nuno Leónidas Arquitectos, is strategically located between Praça de Espanha and the University of Lisbon in the Avenidas Novas neighbourhood, close to the city’s most famous parks, hospitals, artistic and cultural venues and easily connected to the airport and the historic city centre.
The 34,000 m2 project consists of 280 residential units in two towers, built in two different phases of 140 flats each.
The two buildings are characterised by their U-shaped structure, offering a range of spacious, bright flats with large balconies. The heart of the complex, an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a landscaped garden, adds a human and collective dimension to the living area.
DUUO also offers a gym, a multi-purpose room where residents can work and organise private events, a smart drop box service and bicycle storage. Underground parking spaces equipped with electric charging stations and retail spaces in both properties complement the development.
Construction work on the first phase of DUUO is expected to begin in September of this year, with the architectural permit obtained in February. The estimated duration of the construction work is 24 months. The second phase is expected to start construction in the second half of 2022. The expected delivery date of the overall DUUO project is scheduled for 2024.
