27 November 2020 – The real estate fund FSG Saúde has notified the Portuguese Competition Authority of its acquisition of a property that houses the Luz Saúde Group hospital unit in Coimbra.
The property, owned by Novo Banco, is leased by Idealmed and sub-leased by the Luz Coimbra Hospital.
The Authority initially gave the green light for the purchase, by the owner of Hospital da Luz, of more than 70% of Capital Criativo Health Care Investments II, which now controls 80% of the owner of the company through the indirect acquisition of control of the companies Idealmed III – Health Services, Imacentro – Clínica de Imagiologia Médica do Centro and Idealmed Ponte Galante, through the purchase of 70% of the share capital and voting rights in Capital Criativo Health Care Investments II (CCHC2), which holds direct control of Idealmed Companies.
FSG Saúde, managed by Fidelidade – Sociedade Gestora de Organismos de Investimento Coletivo, is responsible for the management of the leasing contracts belonging to the real estate funds it manages. It is a closed-end real estate investment fund that is focusing on building up a portfolio of properties housing hospitals and health care residences.
