24 November 2020 – Data from the National Institute of Statistics showed rent costs grew by 3.8% in the first half of 2020. The first semester of 2020 saw 74,088 new contracts, including 2,308 new leases in the Autonomous Regions.
A total of 144,157 contracts were registered In 2019, a far cry from the 157,446 in 2018. The recovery in the first half of this year, compared with the same period in 2019, translates into an increase of 2,717 new contracts, confirming the upward trend in the rental market.
Real estate investors are starting to invest in build-to-rent projects, one of the trends that is currently evident in the market.
