11 November 2020 – The AFA Group announced that it has obtained the needed municipal approval to go ahead with its planned property investment in Almada. The development will consist of a 160-room hotel, 500 parking spots and 300 apartments, along with shops and services. The approved construction area totals 90,000 square meters.
The approved Detail Plan for the Ginjal Quay will allow for the redevelopment of a significant area of Almada’s riverside. Approved in a council meeting, the project amounts to a joint effort by the municipality and the AFA Group.
The project, which is expected to take approximately eight years to complete, will involve a total investment of 300 million euros.
