The B&B hotel group has acquired the Hotel do Sado Business & Nature, increasing its portfolio of hotels in Portugal to five, while expected to double that this year.
In a press release, the group stated that it has already signed a long-term rental contract for the site and will name the new unit the B&B Hotel Sado Setúbal. The old manor house has an excellent location, near the beach and the Arrábida Natural Park. The hotel has 66 single, double and family rooms.
B&B Hotels specialises in cosy and functional accommodations and currently has units in Braga, Coimbra, Lisbon, Felgueiras and now in Setúbal. The group’s holdings in Portugal now includes a total of 550 rooms and 12 flats.
Lucía Méndez-Bonito, the CEO of B&B Hotels in Spain and Portugal, noted that “after a difficult year due to Covid-19, the incorporation of this hotel in Portugal reinforces our presence in the Iberian Peninsula, [now totalling] 41 hotels open to the public.”
